Eau De Toilette

For those who don’t know the difference, perfume is for women and cologne is for men. A woman who looks nice will stop you in your tracks; however, a woman who smells nice will knock you right over.

Cologne can be expensive, so I usually request it for a birthday or Christmas gift. It’s nice to have a few bottles to rotate, depending on your mood. Formal affairs call for a heavier scent than if you were attending a baseball game. It does not matter if you’re feeling formal, casual or sporty; there is definitely a fragrance suitable for you.

Test the product before you buy, and don’t go on the name alone. For instance, Fabio, the famous male model, hawks a cologne called “Mediterraneo.” Don’t think that just because you wear his cologne, women won’t be able to tell the two of you apart.

Less is more when applying your favorite fragrance. You never want to be able to smell your own cologne ten minutes after it’s been applied. If you can, you’re wearing too much. Go with a quick spray on each side of the neck and then one on the chest. I don’t put it on my face, and I don’t put it on my wrists. Behind the ears is a lady’s thing, so men, let’s keep it that way.

Cologne should compliment a man, not make him stick out. A nice scent is something I can be proud of, and there’s no reason why you shouldn't feel the same.
